NotesThe Queensland Bottle Tree is named from the shape of the trunk of the mature tree which looks like a huge bottle.  It is not normally hardy in UK, this tree outgrew its space in the glasshouse of Blackmore Gardens and was moved, courtesy of EDDC Parks Officer, Mark Pollard, to take its chance at Connaught Gardens. Winter 2013/4 was mild.  It needed a severe prune after the Beast From The East in February 2018 but is growing back happily.  More about Bottle Trees if you click here.info
