Our volunteers and friends helped the National Trust plant another 2,000 whips at Combe Wood Farm in Salcombe Regis, thank you to everybody who made it possible.

Pam, Kelvin, Lucy and Diana

That is nearly 4,000 whips from our target of 14,000, to match the population of the valley, already planted and it is only year one of the four year plan.

We will be planting even more in the next six weeks, starting with 60 whips on the golf course on Wednesday 1st February.  We have enough volunteers for this, but there will be other chances for people to lend a hand.

On Saturday 4th February we will be planting a new community orchard beside the Sidford sports fields at 10am and would welcome anybody and everybody to come along.  There will be a chance to talk to people about plans the bring the former playgroup garden back under control for community use.
