We organise a number of events each year. They range from guided tree walks to tree planting sessions. Local community groups have collaborated on a searchable calendar which can be accessed here.
WEEKLY TREE WALKS
We are delighted to announce the return of our popular guided tree walks. Each walk is a gentle 2-hour stroll on footpaths through parks and public gardens and along quiet roads. You will be led by one of the Arboretum’s volunteers around some of the most interesting and impressive trees in the town. The trees change through the seasons so it is well worth doing the walks more than once. The end destinations are a ten-minute walk away from the town centre.
Walks depart from the Museum at 10.30 each Friday from April through to the end of October. The schedule for this year is available here.
