Thank you to everyone who braved the weather thrown at us by storm Bert and came along to the Celebration of Trees. The three talks were really interesting and it was interesting to see what the other volunteer groups are up to, a particular welcome to the new Knowle and Cemetery groups who are already including trees in their efforts to raise the profile of these sites. The craft stalls had some beautiful wood products, I have ordered a bird from Simon Gray of Simply Quackers, and the music was wonderful.
Well done to those who tried the quiz, Jan U. scored the highest and will be receiving her copy of the Tree Stories book. I have decided to award a second prize and a copy of The Hidden Life of Trees will be on its way to Tess S. The answers are at the bottom of this post.
