We have rearranged the planting of 400 more hedging whips at Stoney Orchard Community Food project on Saturday 22nd February, 10am
All we need now are people with wellies and spades or garden forks to get them planted.
Group hedge planting is good for the environment, but it is also good for you. A chance for some healthy exercise, a chance to join with and contribute to your local community, and a chance to help the local environment.
We hope to complete the planting within about four hours so, if you can join us for an hour or two, or more, either from 10.00 or a bit later then do let us know. Stoney Orchard is on Seaton Road a few hundred yards from the Hare and Hounds, coming from Sidmouth on the A375 to Honiton, turn right at the Hare and Hounds and Stoney Orchard is just past Knapp Copse Nature Reserve.
Digging can be warm work but the winds whistling up the valley can be strong so wear lots of layers to be cosy and dry. There will be snacks but bring your own water or hot drinks.
