Part of the Arboretum’s work is to record and report on all things related to trees and woody plants in the Sidmouth jurisdiction, the town, the Sid Valley and Salcombe Regis.
Hedgerows are an integral and important part of our woody nature. In 2020 our volunteers undertook a survey of the valley’s 300 miles of hedgerows. Volunteers visited and recorded a representative sample of the hedgerows around fields and beside roads. You can read more here.
