Local artist Rebecca Lockyear has used some of our trees as inspiration for a capriccio, a stylised landscape, of the town. This has been used to print some high quality tea-towels or is that tree-towels? They are a bargain at £10, all profits going to the Arboretum, and can be ordered by emailing the Arboretum, or at many of the gardens open over the weekend. They will be delivered free to addresses in Sidmouth or posted for a small charge.
Sidmouth School of Art has taken the image further and it is now on display on the Wall Space board in the Ham car park, more here.
