|Botanical Name||Fagus sylvatica|
|Common Name||Copper beech|
|Location||Muttersmoor - Keble's Seat|
|Notes||Three copper beech saplings were planted at a ceremony in March 2014, attended by Lord Clinton (Clinton Devon Estates) and Sir Jonathan Phillips, Warden of Keble College, Oxford. The nearby Keble's Seat is attributed to the view over to Dartmoor, which inspired Christian poet and hymn writer John Keble. Keble College, Oxford was named in his memory. |
